Cleaning Instructions for Crypton® Inside Out
Materialised carries the Crypton® Care Upholstery Stain Removers and Crypton® Care Disinfectant and Deodoriser and nothing cleans the Crypton® Fabrics or any water-cleanable upholstery fabric like the Crypton® Care products. Non-toxic Crypton® Care works and removes almost any stain imaginable - grease, grass, wine, crayon… anything. We guarantee that these are the most amazing textile cleaning products you will ever try.
Do not remove cushion covers and wash either by hand or machine, or place in dryer. Please do not allow stains or spills to spread or be forced onto the fabric.
General Maintenance
Vacuum fabric regularly to avoid dust build-up.
Rotate cushions where possible to distribute wear.
Attend to spills immediately - the sooner cleaned, the better the result.
Hints
- Before cleaning, vacuum the upholstery.
- Avoid spreading the spot to surrounding clean areas.
- Go slowly, repeat the steps until the spot is removed.
- Test the cleaner in an inconspicuous area before proceeding.
- Detergent residue tends to 'mask' the fabric's liquid resistance. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning.
DO NOT use solvents.
Cleaning Directions
- If the spot has dried, try lightly brushing or scraping off the residual. Wipe with water.
- If liquid, sponge off excess.
- Using a cleaning sponge, wash face of fabric with plain water or mild soap solution. Powdered enzyme detergent mixed with water is the preferred product (or the appropriate Crypton® Care Upholstery Stain Remover). Customary upholstery shampoo, water based cleaning products and mild germicidal detergents may also be used.
- For stubborn stains a liquid detergent such as radiant mixed with water or Crypton® Care Upholstery Stain Remover or diluted bleach (1 part bleach to 10 parts water), may be applied in a gentle manner, using a soft brush in a vertical fashion. Do not scrub.
- Please make certain that all cleaning products are completely rinsed off the fabric, as failure to do so may cause a loss of repellent properties.
Do not use any products that contain highly toxic tetrachloride.
We recommend that you do not use any cleaning agent without first testing in a hidden area.
As dye lots may vary from batch to batch, colour matching to previous deliveries or samples cannot be guaranteed.
Our Waterproof fabric’s comply with the building code of Australia, deemed to satisfy provisions relating to flame retardancy when tested to Australian standard 1530 part 3. Flame Retardant and abrasion test reports are available upon request.
